Baliage

Baliage is a French freestyle color technique of hand-painted highlights. In French, le balayage means "strands of color." The technique can be done in broad strokes or thin light strokes, but the effect is generally softer since the highlights are more sparse than with a methodical aluminum foil technique. It's a natural and relaxed, bright beachy look!  Baliage is less time-consuming than getting a full set of traditional foil highlights. It also tends to grow out more naturally requiring fewer reapplications.
