Fine Thin Hair

Tips for Fine Hair

  • Use products that add density and volume. Consult your hairstylist for the best product for your type of hair.
  • Blow dry the hair against the growth pattern and cool the roots to set the volume.
  • Minimize the use of a brush.  When using a brush, make sure the hair is 80% dry before you begin styling.
  • Wrap the hair straight up on a brush and roll down to the roots. Apply heat then a blast of cool air to set the curl.
  • With Fine Thin hair, less is more. Best results are achieved with a minimum of hands on styling.

Let us show you how to add volume to Fine Thin Hair

Fine thin hair is usually an inherited trait. The goal of an experienced hair stylist is to add volume and fullness with a proper cut and style. There are many options available to add more texture and density to fine hair. Color, highlights, permanents waves, and texturizing can all add benefits to fine thin hair. This is why consulting a professional expert in fine thin hair is crucial to obtaining the best results.

Mona Harb devotes her 35 years experience in the hair design industry to solving the problems of Fine Hair. She has fine, curly hair herself, so you know her methods works. Each type of Fine Hair requires a special technique to achieve the best results.

Fine hair is the opposite of curly hair.  No character at all.  It grows out and says, “OK! I am here! Do something or I will stick straight out of your scalp.”  Unfortunately, it does absolutely nothing for you!  Find a skilled hair stylist that is not afraid to touch it because once you do your hair will love it and so will you!
